1 Call 1930 immediately Reporting in the first hours gives the best chance of freezing the money before it moves.
2 File at cybercrime.gov.in Register the complaint online and note down your acknowledgement number.
3 Inform your bank Ask them to block the card or account and raise a dispute in writing.

Payment

UPI request and QR code fraud

You are sent a 'collect request' or a QR code and told to scan it to receive money. Scanning sends money out, never in.
Employment

Task and part-time job scam

A WhatsApp or Telegram message offers paid tasks. Small payouts arrive first, then a larger 'deposit' is demanded.
Impersonation

Digital arrest call

Callers posing as police, CBI or customs claim a parcel or case in your name and keep you on video call until you transfer money.
Investment

Trading and crypto group fraud

A group shows profit screenshots and a fake app where your balance rises. Withdrawals are blocked until you pay 'tax'.
Identity

KYC and account-block SMS

An SMS warns your KYC has expired and your account will be blocked, with a link or an app to install.
